Life is like walking acroos a padi field, with many obstacles along the way: water, mud, grass and cow dung.
The path most taken is the safest to walk on as it brings your directly across the field. It safest route might be the toughest to walk through as the mud gets stickier and prevent you from reaching higher. Sometimes it blinds you as it also prevents you from seeing other opportunities from taking a shortcut.
The path most taken might not be the worst as more time can be spent on other important things along the way. You might even have the chance to walk hand-in-hand with your family who would understand what you are going through as it is the path taken by them.
With the hope of getting a shortcut across the padi field, you take the path least walked through. It has the tallest grass and deepest water to overcome). Most times the shortcut becomes a dead end and you have to walk all the way back to find a better path (But who doesn’t make the same mistake). With much effort you find another path, make it through and find a shortcut across the field.
Sometime we step on cow dung that gets stuck in our boots, no matter how much we remove them there is always that little bit that gets into a corner of the base of the boots. It is only time that allows that little bit to fall off by itself. The stain of the cow dung remains on the boot to remind you to watch your step.
But then again, you are walking in a padi field, you cannot expect to see trouble coming unless you step on it. The only way is to learn to overcome it.
